[comp.windows.x] X User's Group

larry@hpcvlo.HP.COM (Larry Woestman) (07/24/87)

I apologize for this message to those people not in the pacific northwest,
but I cannot reach some potentially interested people any other way.

This message is to announce the formation meeting for the Willamette Valley X
window system user's group.

time: 7:00 PM Monday, August 3, 1987.

location:	room 9, training center
		Electro Scientific Industries, Inc.
		13900 NW Science Park Drive
		Portland, Oregon 97229

speaker:	"Why Should Anyone Care About X Windows?" by
		Jon Brewster
		X Windows Project Manager
		Corvallis Workstation Operation
		Hewlett Packard Co.
		Corvallis Oregon

I envision this group as meeting approximately once a month, with a membership
covering the Willamette river valley. Topics covered by the group would be
decided by the group; but could include X windows tutorial sessions, seminars
on X windows topics, X program exchange, and just getting together to exchange
X windows anecdotes.

P.S. How do you get there? Go west on Highway 26 (Sunset Highway) from
Portland into Beaverton. Get off to the north at the Murray Blvd. exit.
ESI's building is on the west side of Murray Blvd. just north of Highway 26.
Turn west on NW Science Park Drive, and immediately south into the parking lot
of ESI. Training room 9 is in the south east end of the building. Enter at
the south end of the building.
