I am working on an HP-UX series 300 system with a bobcat monitor. Due to the nature of my research, a CAD interface to X is needed. I find that I am in the situation of haveing to port existing BSD versions (10) of X in order to be able to alter it later. I would like to know if anyone has gone to the trouble of making a system V X-window server(HP-UX would be the best, but I would appreciate any help). Daniel R. Brasen or Dr. M. I'm not sure of the type of monitor you have, but HP sells the X Window System for HP-UX series 300 computers that work with many of the available monitors. I know this is somewhat cliche, but if you contact your local HP sales office I'm sure they can get you all the ordering information you need to get a copy. Regards, Dan Garfinkel

I run HP-UX on an 840. Please either email to me also or perhaps post to the net. HP obviously has a commitment to X and Unix and its HPPA (Spectrum) hardware such as your HP 9000/840. I recommend that you contact your local HP sales rep for some news. -- Frank Hall hplabs!hp-pcd!frank
