Has anyone done an X to imagen dump program? The only program I've seen goes to an LN03. Ned Danieley (ndd@sunbar.mc.duke.edu) Basic Arrhythmia Laboratory Duke University Medical Center Durham, NC 27710 (919) 684-6807 or 684-6942

Yes, I ported a version of xpr originally written by Rick Spickelmier to the Imagen and other printers. Now the part where I stick my foot in my mouth: I got sick of adapting xpr everytime I had to dump to a new printer, so I reorganized it into a device independent portion and one module for each printer. At the moment I support PS, Impress, QUIC and Interpress (you need the Interpress toolkit for this) all in one program. Here's the offer: + If you have one of the printers above, you can have it free, provided you tell me problems with it, or send suggestions for improvements. I don't think there are any byte order dependencies left, although the xwd format is still machine dependent. + If you don't have one of the printers above, you can also have it free, to write your own interface to it (I think it is really easy now) provided you send me the device dependent module when you are finished. + If you are one of the people who are managing X11, then perhaps you can tell me if anybody has already volunteered to write X11 xpr. If not, (foot in mouth, mmfpf), I am volunteering to adapt it for X11 dump format, in the hope that there will be one xpr in the end. Don't forget to put your mail address in your note - I don't trust news mailers. Ken
