Does anyone have software which can be used by a newsgroup which is shared between the arpanet and usenet? As much as possible, I want the usenet side of the list to look like a normal net news group and the arpanet side to look like a normal arpanet mailing list. I know about "recnews" for putting general mail articles onto usenet. What I need is some software which I can invoke from the news sys file to take an article off of the usenet, transform it so that it has a reasonable looking mail header and then ship it off to an arpanet address. The software needs to have some means to tell if a particular article originated on the arpanet side of the list so that it doesn't do a duplicate posting (mail loops are *so* messy). What do those of you who gateway articles between usenet and the arpanet do? Does the software I want already exist?
