I was about to write a f.destroy for uwm which would destroy a window, but as has been said already, this still leaves the process behind the window around. It seems to may that each X-process should have an event handler that will exit cleanly if its window is destroyed. I have seen this in some programs, but of course there is no rule that one has to do this. Is this problem fixed in V11?? Alan -------
