I have just installed X.V10R4 on a Sun 3/260 (with a color monitor) and am having several problems. We are running Sun opsys 3.2. 1) The large X cursor leaves imprints of itself along the left border of the screen. It seems to me that I saw this complaint before, but I don't remember seeing any responses for a cure. 2) Does "uwm" only work with Ultrix? 3) I can't get xdemo to work. The installation procedure copied exe.v10/xdemo.sun to exe.v10/xdemo, but didn't set it as executable or move it to /usr/new. "file xdemo" reveals that the code is "old sun-2 demand paged executable." Is this the reason it will not run on a Sun-3? If so, is there a way to get a copy for Sun-3's? Or is something else the matter? When I invoke it, I get a window to shape, I shape it, and then X crashes. 4) It is hard to push the mouse cursor against the top of the screen. This makes using the xnwm hard to do. The cursor jumps down when you try to get it high enough to be on the xnwm's window. 5) X crashes rather easily. It's hard to describe exactly the situation when it crashes, but to many keyclicks seems to bring it on. If I can pinpoint it better, I will repost. 6) Is there additional documentation beyond that which comes with the distribution? In particular, we have several people here that would like to use it in developing there applications. 6) We would like information on any Lisp (Lucid Common for the Sun) calls that might be available from any source.
