How 'cum every day I see what appears to be a newsgroup war between various people (pwa-b!root, for example), and alice!news as to whether new newsgroups can be created faster than they can be removed? Who's winning? - Alan S. Watt

The cause for this war is that people keep creating things like net.joke, etc. Also, we got the nice string of net.bugs.cse, net.bugs.columbia, net.bugs.chess, etc. the other day. I have been removing them.
