hi, For developing Macintosh software thre is a very powerful tool called MacApp. It is a generic application that the application programmer has to customize to make a specific program. Because it is implemented in an object oriented fashion, it does a lot more than a 'dead' library of subroutines. In the organization where I work at the moment, X is being implemented on custom Unix boxes. If X is up & working, applications must be developed under X. We all know how steep the learning curve is for developing event driven, object oriented modeless applications. We also know MacApp like tools reduce development time greatly. So... Question: does an equivalent package exist for developing applications under X ? I'm not refering to the user interface libraries that come with the X package, but to a true generic application. Any hints ? t.i.a. -henk
