[comp.windows.x] WANTED LISP FOR 386

jordan@titn.TITN (Jordan Bortz) (09/22/87)

Does anyone out there know of a LISP (preferably Common LISP or Franz)
available for 386 running V.3? It would be great if the above
mentioned system had an X interface.

Developers!!! If you're busy developing such a system, feel free
to EMAIL me---it would be worthwhile!

Symbolics has announced a 386-based Common Lisp runtime environment
called Cloe. It includes support for New Flavors, an error handling
system, and user interface facilities that will grow into X in the
future.

Also announced were tools that run on the 3600 to help ensure that the
code that you write is portable to the 386.

The idea is to provide a high performance runtime environment on the 386
and leave the development activities to a more capable machine like the
3600.
