Cut and past in xterm on X10 used to be done by holding down the shift key and using the mouse buttons. In X11 the buttons work the same with or without the shift key pressed. This leads to many accidents in the xterm window where commands are accidentely pasted into the window by accidental mouse presses. This scares me because I end up inserting junk at the command prompt all the time. One of these days I'm going to insert a "rm -r *" in a bad place! I am running X11 on a RT running 4.3. Requiring the use of the shift key or some meta key for cut and past seems to be a reasonable saftey feature. Jon Greenblatt <pcproj@gymble.umd.edu> (128.8.128.16) <jonnyg@rover.umd.edu> (128.8.2.73)
