Sendmail and/or the kernel on apx.lcs.mit.edu were conspiring to have
outbound mail to various hosts lose big, particularly to uunet.uu.net,
but to a few other hosts (aerospace, caltech) as well. I have hacked
things to forward outbound mail via athena.mit.edu, in hopes of better
results. It may or may not work (I'm no sendmail wizard). In the
process numerous queued messages were lost. If you've sent in a
request in the last few days but don't receive it soon, retransmit.
If it still doesn't seem to work, let me know.
What am I talking about? Getting fixes to V11R1:
Individual fixes and batches can be obtained by mail by sending a message to
xstuff@apx.lcs.mit.edu (address 18.30.0.209). In the simplest case, the
message should have a subject line and no body, or a single-line body and no
subject, in either case the line should be something like one of these:
send fixes 1 3 5 7
send fixes 1-10 15 21-30
To find out what fixes and batches exist, make the line:
index fixes
