o Provides programming interface that supports IBM AIX/RT FORTRAN
       77
   o Includes a programmer's toolkit
   o Supports additional input devices
   DESCRIPTION
In addition to the originally announced capabilities of the
IBM AIX/RT X-Windows Version 1.1 program (refer to Programming
Announcement 287-038, dated April 2, 1987), Version 2.1 supports most
of the function referenced in the latest version of X Version 11
   Protocol distributed by MIT.
IBM AIX/RT X-Windows Version 2.1 also provides programming
interface support for IBM AIX/RT FORTRAN 77, in addition to the
programming interface support for C provided in Version 1.1.
A programmer toolkit is included with IBM AIX/RT X-Windows
Version 2.1. The toolkit contains high-level program development
utilities to assist in generating and modifying windowing and graphic
   applications.
Additional input devices are supported by Version 2.1. These
devices include the IBM Lighted Program Function Keyboard (LPFK)
(#4710), Dials (#8710) and the IBM 5083 Tablet. Either the IBM RT PC
Mouse or Tablet can be the primary input device for an application
but not both in the same application. Version 2.1 applications can
also use the IBM Dials and/or LPFKs as additional input devices for
use with either the Tablet or Mouse.
