I'm trying to get v10.4 running on a sun 3/110 that uses an Hitachi type HM-4119-S-AA-0 (whatever in the world that is) monitor. The sun server seems broke. Here are all the nasty symptoms: 1) the mouse is restricted to motion only in the left 1/8th of the screen; 2) the cursor leaves a trail across the screen; 3) small fonts, say, those less than 20 points large, are drawn jammed up into the left 1/8th of the screen -- these fonts look much like (BUT ARE NOT) nil2, the font used to draw xterm icons; 4) large fonts are drawn exactly where they're supposed to be, in the size they are supposed to be; 5) dimmed menu items in xterm are drawn correctly, regardless of font size -- xterm draws dimmed items by calling XTileSet(), then XTextPad(); 6) any text, regardless of font size, can be drawn if it is drawn in the manner that xterm uses to draw dimmed menu items; 7) drawing functions, like those used in xtrek, work correctly; 8) the cursor is drawn jammed up like the small fonts; 9) both the cursor and small letters are drawn correctly if either happens to intersect the right border of the screen.
