The comments on overcoming inertia are well taken. However, we can all see the reasons for not wanting such a newsgroup. As an alternative, how about adding an option to 'news' so that at the end of any article the user may elect to vote and is restricted to a simple set of choices - maybe: y Yes n No d Don't Care a Abstain The response would then be mailed (note: MAILED not posted) to the originator of the article. You can't get any lazier than that. As an extention, maybe the originator should be able to specify with his article whether or not it is a voting issue. This could then be used as a flag to trigger (or alternatively disallow) the receiver's vote potential.
