Has the GnuEmacs community improved significantly upon the X11 implementation since X.V11R1 came out? We found that on the Apollo (SR9.6) server, building with X11 and HAVE_X_WINDOWS makes an emacs which works for a while but dies a horrible (and noisy) death when it is unable to get a straight answer from the keyboard.
