I have posted to net.sources the code to allow internet addressing on any site running delivermail with a minimum of fuss. If you have the Steve Bellovin uucp alias generator you can install this by modification of only the conf.c file of delivermail. Also included is a database query program. Sendmail should be coming in a while from UCB, and it is supposed to handle this problem. In the meantime, my code will handle internet addressing for those with delivermail. Note that if you send all your stuff through one neighbour and they switch to using this code, you can modify it so that all your mailer does is pass on the address to that machine. One way to do this is to have a line that equates that site with domain name "uucp" so that all mail to unknown sites in uucp domain goes through them.
