A few days ago I remember reading that the more groups, the better, since one could pick and choose what one wants to hear. At first thought, this seems correct. However, after a little more thought, I noticed that one of the "big" problems of the net (as some have stated) is the posting of articles to the incorrect newsgroup, usually by someone new to the system. Conclusion--the more specialized the groups, the more likely we'll get articles in the wrong group. By a quick count, we already have ~140 groups. If you were a infrequent user, how much time would YOU devote to picking the correct group? Charles LaBrec pur-ee!Physics:crl purdue!Physics:crl
