You must be running on a Sun. The button-filling and arrow-filling problems are NOT due to X-ray, but due to the fact that the X10R4 Sun server didn't implement polygon fill. The panel positioning problem was fixed in HP's Xrlib product which was released for the HP 9000 Series 300 and 800 workstations beginning last March. Since there were no further MIT X10 releases, this fix (plus the later enhancements for Xrlib such as the addition of a scrolled list editor and a grouping box) were not distributed. Further distribution or update of X10.4 software is really an MIT/Consortium issue, since that is the vehicle through which HP and other vendors have distributed their software for public consumption. These fixes and enhancements, with improved documentation, are available now for X11 via the network from MIT's public directory on zap. They will be included on the X11R2 tape, along with a verification package (with interactive X-ray interface) to test a port to a given architecture. I hope this helps! -- Frank Hall Hewlett-Packard frank%hpcvlx@hplabs.hp.com
