I and Jordan Hubbard (jkh@violet.berkeley.edu) have been writing an X11 driver for Crispin Goswell's recently posted PostScript interpreter. Right now, it's got 3 major problems which I intend to fix before I turn it loose: 1) It does not deal intelligently (er, at all) with expose events. 2) Fonts smaller than ~90 points don't work. 3) BitBlit() doesn't work. (This affects the Image family of commands.) A fourth problem is that greyscale does not work on monochrome monitors. That'll be fixed when Jordan digs himself out from under uwm bugs. Maybe. ("Dithering? Dithering? Isn't that a small town in the south of England?" :-) Of course, by the time I fix these problems, it'll be time to go through and clean up the code, and design a decent set of fonts, instead of the Hershey fonts it came with, and...... :-) AMBAR
