When this net finally switches to internet mailing, and all sites do it, then we'll have both dynamic routing and optimized paths. This will cut down any associated mailing costs. Polls could simply have "Reply-to:" fields that point to the poll address so the reply command can be used for a poll. One simple thing is to set up such addresses on various sites. Have a standard message one might send to such an address that contains a subject line of the form Subject: vote <issue> : <response> ie. vote netname : uucp or vote net.ai : yes A simple program that these messages are piped through could extract the responses and file them under the correct issue for tally at some other time.
