[comp.windows.x] xmh hackers out there?

mckay@COURAGEOUS.ECN.PURDUE.EDU (Dwight D McKay) (01/23/88)

Hi. I've justed fixed up xmh (from the X11R1 release) to run on Suns.
A minor change to fix the expected semantics of utime.

Has anyone been able to figure out why you don't get a cursor in the
composition windows of xmh on Suns? Is there any repository of xmh bug fixes?

I've been doing some hacking on xmh as well, mainly to handle some timing
issues across NFS. I don't believe there's a repository of fixes, though
there will be some on the X11R2 tape.

Well, I can't help you... I can only verify your bugs... I get them too...

Did you ever get the cursor in composition windows? Also if you installed
mh, do you have a PostScript version of all of the docs? Our TeX is a
little brain-dead.

Thanks in advance,

Nope. I've not managed to get the cursor to work, but otherwise Xmh
runs fairly well. I'm replying to you with it now, in fact.

As for mh docs, we have what came with the 4.3BSD manual set. I
suppose we could copy that and send it to you, but you might want to
check with Marian Hensler, our documentation person. Her mail address
is marian@ef.ecn.purdue.edu, phone is (317) 494-4060.
