System: All Suns File: X.V11R1/util/imake.includes/Sun.macros In X.V11R1/util/imake.includes/Sun.macros, commenting out the line that says #define UseSunWindowsInServer and then re-building all of the server makes the server much smaller (about half its previous size!) for a very small loss in functionality. Once you comment that feature out, you can't start the X server over SunWindows, you have to exit SunWindows first. That's all. I know it's documented that you CAN build the server this way, but nobody said how much of a win it is. Before I did this the server and some applications thrashed over memory pages on my Sun 3-140 with 4MB and SCSI disk. Bruce Perens {ucbvax, sun}!pixar!bp
