After spending lots of time attempting to get the andrew programs to work, I've managed to trace the problem down to font loading and getting information about the loaded font in andrew/be2/basics/xfontdesc.c. Anyone have any ideas what the problem is? typescript and xterm have no problems with the default fonts, however ez will crash when attempting to edit graph, memo,or help files. Anyone come accross this problem or have any ideas? By the way, when compiling andrew, I always ran across the following probem. The compile would fail when attempting to build the ex12.snf font in andrew/be2/eq. I found that it got built correctly earlier during the compile and was in andrew/overhead/fonts/fontfiles/programs/ex12.[bdf,fdb,snf]. The unusual thing is that the *same* programs are used to build the same font, and it fails in andrew/be2/eq, but works in overhead/fonts/fontfiles - weird. I just had to copy the fonts over from there and do a top-level make again. I don't know why no one else came across that one. Rakesh Patel.
