I am new to the world of X, and have only had experience with the docs and
sources provided in the official MIT distribution (i.e. I haven't used any
other implementations). So far, all of the code/docs I've seen describes
interfaces only to WORKSTATIONS (bit mapped displays). Are graphics terminals
completely excluded from using X? I realize that windows and mice are not
(commonly) found on graphics terminals, but what about display-only programs
that use only one window?
I would be very interested in any information or policies concerning graphics
terminals and X, and, as usual, thanks in advance....
