As the perpetrator of the ActiveIcon hack in 10.4... Yes, we are interested. However, the semantics used previously were wrong. Icons should remain as icons (though adding an interesting default pixmap icon would be useful). The 'active icon' semantics are more appropriately described as a font change. There should be a 'size (zoom)' state that alternates between the normal font(s) and the alternate font(s) by appropriate interactions. Merging zooming with iconifying was wrong.
