One month ago I saw a book about porgramming
with windows. But I forgot the title now. I
remember that this book discusses the general
techniques in window programming (not like
some books which only introduces a specific
sofeware). The title is something like
"programming with windows" There are many
C codes in the book. Does anyone over there
know such a book? I would like know the author
and the title?
Please send mail to zwang@uk.ac.ucl.cs
Thanks a lot!

.......... The title is something like
"programming with windows" ..............
There is a book by that name for MS Windows (Microsoft/IBM PC). (maybe that
says "MS Windows"). It has nothing whatsoever to do with X-windows. It might
even be harmful to use that book when programming with X-windows, because
MS-Windows is truly brain-damaged (well, a PC doesn't have much of a brain
anyway :-) ), and any preconceptions/habits learned from MS-Windows programming
might result in truly bad user interface design on X-windows....
