It seems that I'm the first person on our block to make a serious attempt at using the X11 (release 1) Toolkit (Beta 0.1). I'm planning to use it to develop a menu driven 'visual execution environment' that will display the action of a program as it is running. So that I may minimize the inevitable time spent on trial and error I would graciously appreciate examples that deal with the following: Initialization; Menus - user will choose which events to be displayed via menus; Creating windows and passing events to them; Managing and displaying windows - all eligible events will have their own window, it will be up to the user to decide which ones will be displayed; Colors - especially red; Graphics - some of the displays will be graphic in nature. I realize I'm asking for quite a bit (or is that *byte* ?) and I thank-you for taking the time to read this. Please reply to me via e-mail, all I can offer in return is a copy of the finished project and a cold draught if you ever make it to brew town. Thanks again, Keith. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keith Johnson Home adress: UWM Computing Services 959 N. 33rd ST. 3200 N.
