I have the following problem using xterm in x v11 r2 under Ultrix 2.0. If a program like emacs or talk is running (i.e. a program which changes the state of the tty) in one xterm window, and I start another xterm window, it comes up with its tty attributes all wrong, e.g. no control characters work, and no carriage returns are echoed. Any fix? The problem, as i understand it, is that xterm inheriets the stty settings of the parent shell, try using xterm -l to get a new login foreach xterm (i think its -l, its 4 a.m. and i can't find my xterm manual) -- Laissez les bons temps rouler - Queen Ida ...{decwrl|ucbvax}!imagen!atari!daisy!turner (James M.
