Ok, now for a question from an incredibly un-intelegent source. I have a Sun 3/60 and have built X11.R2 just the way the release notes say you should(the paths are correct and I typed make World and then make install). Well, after setting my path to /usr/wdl/bin/X11 I typed xinit and it said back to me xinit: No such file or directory: Server "X" died on startup I have gone through the sequence of building X and I know I did things the way it is stated. So do you of greater X intellegence know what's wrong? The Sun documentation proved fairly useless. HELP!!!!!! Naka jyn@ford-wdl1 Now back to the real show . . .

There needs to be a /usr/wdl/bin/X11/X. It's usually a link to .../Xsun.
The xinit program tries to run the server by the "X" name.
