You have to define a geometry of sufficient size when you start it up or else it won't ever work. This is a serious bug in the code (among many). I use 650x800 and that works fine. Problems I have yet to track down (if anybody has done this already, I'd appreciate diffs) on my Sun 3/50 running SunOS 3.4: -- attempts to create new folders dumps core and exits -- attempts to execute a "pick" dumps core and exits -- the -flag option doesn't work....mail arrives and the icon never changes state -- it sometimes gets confused about what files are present and it exits, usually right after trying to do a "commit changes" -- sometimes text entry in the "compose message" window doesn't work....something gets confused and xmh and all child windows accept nothing other than mouse clicks, requiring a quit and restart of xmh to clear the condition. -- Gene Spafford NSF/Purdue/U of Florida Software Engineering Research Center, Dept. of Computer Sciences, Purdue University, W. I had problem with xmh in X11R2 on my sun 3/60. The solution appeared in an earlier posting and as I recall, one needs to specify the geometry when invoking xmh. I use % xmh =650x650 I have only begun to use xmh and mh. More experienced users may have better solutions to the problem.
