[comp.windows.x] Question about pty and kterm

Hello,
	To run kterm properly, the user may need to set the "pty" to
	handle 8 bit data.

	Does any one know if there is a "mask" for setting a pty to
	handle 8 bit data instead of stripping off the most
	significant bit ?

	Any other suggestions ?
