[comp.windows.x] Problem with xmh

I have been experiencing a problem with xmh (the X11R2 interface
to the Rand Mail Handler). When I invoke xmh, it creates a window 
with lots of nice little rectangular boxes connected by various lines
and some obvious resize gadgets and that is it. The boxes are blank,
the resize gadgets don't activate and -- in fact -- the window 
doesn't react to any input from the mouse or keyboard. Has anyone 
encountered this problem before? If anyone has a suggestion, I'm
all ears.
