[comp.windows.x] Location of new Toolkit intrinsics

earle@MAHENDO.JPL.NASA.GOV (Greg Earle) (05/15/88)

Wouldn't the top-level `tk' (or at least the `updates') directory have
been a better place for the new Toolkit intrinsics than the `contrib'
directory? Principle of Least Surprise and all that ...

Enquiring minds wanna know ...

Well, you weren't really supposed to see it yet, and the person who
stored it there didn't have write permission to anywhere else. Be
warned, there is absolutely nothing official about the contents of that
version. The next official version will be in an official place, with
an official announcement.
