Well, I'm sure there are a few more bugs lurking somewhere (there are certainly a few limitations that still need to be worked out), but I think it's robust enough to be generally useful. The larger user community will also aid in the debugging process. Several things to note: 1. The menus have some obvious shortcomings, but work "well enough". If I sound apathetic about this, that's not the case. I would just rather spend my time working on other areas of the code at present. If someone wants to reverse-engineer my changes into the newest release of the rtlmenus (revision 3, I believe), I'd be more than happy to upgrade. 2. This code is not blessed by athena, though it may be if we can get some of the kinks out and make it fully ICCCM compatable (whatever that might be). I'm very interested in seeing this happen. Hopefully this release will beat on awm enough that the last few problems will be discovered and fixed. Perhaps some kind soul will also donate a fast menu package, no? I'd like to thank the people who made the (somewhat protracted) beta test period much more productive than I expected. Though I got a lot of very useful information from quite a few people, I'd like to especially thank Isaac Salzman, Bill Wohler, Michael Reilly, Spencer Thomas, and Glenn Widner for the long and detailed bug reports they sent me over the last few months. Thanks guys.. Following this message are 8 shar files comprising a kit. Let me know if you have any trouble unpacking and/or compiling it. Unfortunately, I have only suns (and Ardent's titan) to test this code on so I can't be sure that it works under all conditions. If you get it working on anything else, and it took some work, please let me know what you did so I can save others the trouble. Watch this space for the inevitable patch files.
