[comp.windows.x] X terminal at USENIX

mjb@xpiinc.UUCP (Michael J. Braca) (06/10/88)

For those of you interested in inexpensive (<$2K) X window system
server platforms who couldn't make it to COMDEX, we will be showing a
preview of the Visual Technology X Display Station at the USENIX
conference in SF. The XDS (the product of a joint venture by Xpi, Inc.
(software) and Visual Technology (hardware)) looks a lot like a regular
monochrome ASCII terminal, but attaches to an ethernet and runs an X11
server completely onboard. We are still defining the product, which
will be introduced later this year, so any feedback you give us on
this prototype will be greatly appreciated.

The Sequent and MIPS folks have generously offered space in their
booths, so look for us there. Please send feedback to uunet!xpiinc!xds .
We will summarize and publish the comments we receive.
