[comp.windows.x] list distribution

I'm getting a LOT of deferred mail from this list when I post to it,
ranging from "bad file number" to other crimes I've forgotten about.
The bad file number comes back when I post to xpert@athena.mit.edu
and the other crimes come back when I post to xpert@expo.lcs.mit.edu.
This is a new thing...I've posted a number of times before with no
unpleasant side effects.

Yeah, tell me about it. Ever since we moved the xpert mailing list from
athena to expo, so that we could maintain the list itself reasonably,
we've had to deal with sendmail (as opposed to letting Athena deal with
sendmail, and us dealing with the idiot messages that *their* sendmail
spewed at *us* behind your backs, sometimes two for every message sent
to xpert). We've tried about umpteen different versions, and still
aren't happy. The particular configuration of sendmail/named we have
running right now is mostly stable, although it does have its problems.
We aren't sendmail wizards, nor do we wish to be, nor do we have time to
be. If anyone has concrete, rational suggestions about what to do,
we're willing to at least listen.
