Anybody know why our uucp implementation keeps leaving these:

--w--w--w- 1 uucp mail 56 Feb 23 02:07 LOG.11484.0
--w--w--w- 1 uucp mail 56 Feb 23 02:16 LOG.11579.0

files in hanging around in our /usr/spool/uucp directory????

The writable-only uucp logfiles (LOG.?????.?) are created when one of
the UUCP processes tries to make a log entry into LOGFILE and finds it
locked. The new logfile is then used for the duration of the process
that created it, and is made r/w on exit. The r/w logfiles are
integrated into LOGFILE by uulog.

It looks like you have UUCP processes that get terminated with extreme
predjudice before the files are made readable.
