#R:wb2:-13000:fortune:7400001:000:470 fortune!stein Feb 24 13:37:00 1983 The writable-only uucp logfiles (LOG.?????.?) are created when one of the UUCP processes tries to make a log entry into LOGFILE and finds it locked. The new logfile is then used for the duration of the process that created it, and is made r/w on exit. The r/w logfiles are integrated into LOGFILE by uulog. It looks like you have UUCP processes that get terminated with extreme predjudice before the files are made readable. -- Mark Stein Fortune Systems
