People seem to enjoy twm, so I built it on our system (version 3.0). At first it froze my screen and looped forever in lex at the end of parsing .twmrc (our lex looks for eof on the yyin file descriptor). After fixing this twm started successfully. There are, however, all sorts of problems, especially with moving operations : windows jump in unexpected directions, disappear from the screen, or cannot be moved passed some coordinate in the x direction. There is no pattern in this. Efforts to move icons are completely unsuccesful, and sometimes twm dumps core (in event.c). There are other, minor, problems (with resizing). Has anybody successfully ported twm to VAX/4.3 ? I would appreciated any help. We would like to provide our users with a 'user friendly' wm ( I know about awm).
