We are trying to install X11R2 on our Hp system running v6.0 of their Unix port. The server starts up ok, but applications don't want to talk to the server. Has anyone else run into this? Know of a fix? Thanks, Steve Miller smiller@umn-cs.cs.umn.edu -- -Steve Miller, U of MN

Make sure you are using the standard applications in /usr/bin/X11. X10 applications won't be able to connect with the server, aborting with an appropriate complaint. If this is not the problem, then it is likely to be a configuration problem. Know of a fix? This is from the MIT tape, right? What errors do you get from the clients when they don't start up? Is your X0.hosts set up properly?
