##### Sun 3/110 with cgfour monitor. Vanilla X11R2 sources compiled and installed with Sun macros. Run xinit, screen goes gray with X cursor, no xterm. Cursor moves with mouse OK. No way to do anything useful. Type enough keys and keyboard overflows, X crashes, keyboard is hung. Keyboard often fixable with "kbd_mode -a", though sometimes the console gets logged out and the getty fails to open the console continuously. Need to reboot in this case. Doesn't matter whether xinit is run from the console directly or from suntools. Any suggestions? Reply by mail unless you think it worth broadcasting the answer. Thanks! ##### Larry Flon
