I agree with some recent comments about misuse of the newsgroup structure. Please, people -- post *only* to the proper group. An ad for slightly used neologisms belongs in net.nlang, not net.general -- no matter how many more people you think you'll reach. My figures show that net.misc and net.general are two of the most heavily-used groups -- which makes them almost useless. --Steve P.S. Oh yes -- if you feel an article belongs in more than one group, post it *once* to both groups; that way, readers only see it once, it only gets transmitted once, etc. Earlier suggestions that such behavior is harmful are plain wrong. If there are bugs in the software, fix the bugs! Don't tell people not to use a feature that was present from the beginning precisely because we didn't want to see the same article over and over again.
