Under certain circumstances my application needs to be able to highlight multiple areas in a text widget. The default behavior is ideal the rest of the time. In these cases the user selects one of n entries by typing the appropriate key. If another entry is selected it is automatically unselected. There are times when the user needs to select multiple fields. For all the obvious reasons I would like to leave the active ones highlighted. Keeping track of these is no problem. When an area is highlighted squirell away the necessary data, if it is unselected throw it away. What I can't seem to figure out is how to have more than one area highlighted. Has anybody done this? Do I need to drop all the way down to the xlib level or is there some other clever way to do this? Thanks in advance. -- - Joel {psuvax1,sdcrdcf}!burdvax!coltoff (UUCP) coltoff@burdvax.prc.unisys.com (ARPA)
