[comp.windows.x] Displaying Pictures

Question:
	I've generated large (800x800) pictures, and the data is stored
	in a file.  Now I wish to display this picture (in color)
	on my display.  I'm able to do a 30second hack, and do a ton
	of XDrawPixel's and some XDrawLine's to get it up on the screen.
	But I believe that there has to be a better way of doing this, 
	and I haven't seen any quick and easy soulutions.
