How can I get a copy of this article mentioned here?  Was it published
anywhere?  Also, how can I get a copy of the article "The X Window 
System", by Jim Gettys?  Are these articles aprt of the X11 release?

The paper "Using the X Toolkit, or How to Write a Widget" is in the
summer 1988 Usenix proceedings.  An earlier version of the paper is in
the R2 distribution.
