[comp.windows.x] DEC Widgets Available? Where? When?

To.expert%hhb@PRINCETON.EDU (09/07/88)

I have read in the August 29 issue of Unix News that Dec is making
their XUI Toolkit available for the cost of the media and documentation.

Is this true and if so how do I go about getting them?

Thanks in advance for any info you can give.

From the strategy talk that DEC gave at Xhibition, I was under the
impression that DEC would make XUI available at cost only to the
usual gang of 'qualified software developers'. Maybe some kind soul
from DEC could clarify.

To my knowledge, we are not going to place a restrictive qualification
process in the way. Digital has many marketing programs with software
vendors, but XUI is not currently limited to some subset of those vendors.

The very fact that we are offering it to OSF contradicts any implication
that we intend to be restrictive about it.
