ESA is running XV11R2 on a network of Apollos (SR9.7, bsd4.2).

BUG 1:
I have noticed that some of my C shell aliases, which run fine outside
of the X system, cock up badly running under xterm. A bit of running down
showed that the problem lies with the C shell

	command1 `command2`

construct which is supposed to execute command2 and feed its output to
command1 as command line arguments. For some reason this does not happen,
but instead the command hangs and can be terminated with a ctrl-c.

BUG 2:
Very wide xterms wrap characters on lines that are wider than the window
width around to the start of the same line, overwriting the start of the
line. Ordinary xterms don't.

Anyone know what is going on? - I know work-arounds but I don't know
what the actual problems are.

Apologies in advance if these have already been dealt with -
we've only recently set up for netnews.
