Under what circumstances is a CLX X client sent a :no-exposure event?
What does this event mean?

When you do a copy-area or copy-plane using a gcontext that has :exposures :on
and all of the necessary source region is available for the operation.

    What does this event mean?

It means "all of the request destination region got updated from the source"
(contrasted with "part of the source was obscured and couldn't be copied to
the destination").
