Would someone please give a precis on "What the Heck is PEX?" I have heard a few references to it and even have a vague idea what it encompasses, but would like to get the ultimate authority, if possible. Also, if anyone has pointers to documents I can FTP or order or otherwise obtain, they'd be most appreciated. Thanx, alan Alan Mimms My opinions are generally Communications Products Group pretty worthless, but Apple Computer they *are* my own... ...it's so simple that only a child can do it! -- Tom Lehrer, "New Math"

PEX is a 3D graphics protocol extension designed to efficiently support PHIGS and parts of PHIGS+. Also, if anyone has pointers to documents I can FTP or order or otherwise obtain, they'd be most appreciated. On an R2 distribution, look in doc/PEX. By anonymous ftp to expo.lcs.mit.edu, look in /pub/PEX. If you need hardcopy mailed to you instead, send a request and a postal address to michelle@expo.lcs.mit.edu.
