I have a Sun 3/60C with both a high-res b&w screen and a color screen attached to it. I also have X11R2. I would like to run X11 under both screens and have the "suntools cursor effect" of: adjacentscreens /dev/bwtwo0 -r /dev/cgfour0 When I bring up X11 via: xinit xterm -display eek:0.1 -- Xsun I have two problems: 1) The color screen is only visible when the cursor is on that screen. As soon as the cursor exits the color screen, the color screen turns white. 2) Cursor motion between the two screens does not take into account their relative sizes. For example, moving from the SW color corner to the SE b&w corner does not work correctly. The b&w screen is 1600x1280 while the color screen is 900x1152; so when that movement is done, the cursor sits on (899,1151) [(0,0) is NW corner] and not the true SE corner of the b&w screen. I would rather not bring up suntools. But even when I try to run X11 on top of suntools, I am unable to get X11 to use both screens. Furthermore, when X11 comes up on the color screen, it acts as if it were a b&w. Any ideas or suggestions via Email would be helpful. chongo <chongo@uts.amdahl.com or {ames, decwrl, sun, uunet}!amdahl!chongo> /\**/\ -- [views above shouldn't be viewed as Amdahl views, or as views from Amdahl, or as Amdahl views views, or as views by Mr. Amdahl, or as views from his house]
