Is there an XCL that works with X11?
If so, how does one get it?

Sorry, I never ported XCL to version 11.  If you wish to do this work, I 
would be more than happy to discuss the requirements with you off-line.

ps. You might try using the x10tox11 converter, but I don't know how well
that would work - 'cause I haven't tried it.
